Anna's Feb. Kit Reveal :D

I loved all the goodies that came in this month's kit - buttons, flowers, jewels, & more! I was in a lovee mood while scrapping (I can't believe February is just around the corner!) & this kit was just what I needed to make some fun LO's of some very special people in my life.

My girls on Thanksgiving Day. I absolutely love the fun tags included in this month's kit! And Heather's pretty flowers add just the right touch :D

I based this LO of my hubby & I on a LO by Maggie Holmes that I found in an old issue of Creating Keepsakes. I just love her scrappy style. And I love love love the papers I got to work with in this kit! They are so perfect for making girl or boy LO's.

This final LO was especially fun for me to create. These girls & I have been friends for 10 years now. (see me in the pink?? these pictures are a couple of years old. better late than never, right??) We all used to live within a 1/2 mile of eachother but have all moved within the last 5 years. And even though some of us are far apart, it's as if things have never changed when we all get together. I am so blessed to have friends like that. I was excited to use the jewels on this LO & used some Prima packaging to hang them from. And the glitter buttons add just the right amount of bling too.

This kit sold out wicked fast. I can't wait to see what ya'll create with it!! (be sure you post your work in the SO gallery for us all to drool over)

Ronda's Feb. Kit Reveal!!!

Hey Girls!!!
Can you believe that we are already almost a month into the new year?? Wow, we are fast approaching February!! Which means Valentine's Day is coming soon! Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays! Which brings me to our kit for the month----it's not themed "Valentine's" but I got a "romantique" feel from the papers when I was deciding what to do with my kit. These papers are absolutley gorgeous and the embellishments are so fun! I especially love the the handmade flowers----SO PRETTY! This kit definitely is one of my favorites to work with from SO!!

"Beautiful"

"Isn't She Lovely?"
(yes, Heather has this title on one of hers too! lol)

"Happy Birthday" Card

Have a great day!!

Trish's February Kit Reveal!

Wow!
Simply Obsessed has done it again! The February kit is simply amazing! It is packed full of beautiful coordinating papers from Teresa Collins, Making Memories and Daisy Bucket and awesome one of a kind embellishments! I was so inspired when I opened the box that I got right to work!

February is coming and love is in the air! I have been wanting to make some "love birds" and when I saw this kit I knew it would be perfect! I created a love bird mobile. It has 3 birds lovingly constructed from the contents of the February kit (with a few feathers thrown in for good measure!) - Unfortunately, it hasn't been light and dry at the same time lately so I had some difficulty getting good photos! These birdies are much swankier in real life!

For my next project, I created a layout about a recent "date night" I had with my husband while he was home for R&R! I have been wanting to scrap about the night and I am really happy with how this one turned out!

For my last project I pulled out some Halloween pictures of my oldest DD as a 50's Sock Hop Girl. I cut the holes in the black polka-dot pattern paper and then backed it with the blue pattern pieces. The AC bling/glitter letters were perfect for the page and I added the pink striped ribbon from my stash!

I hope these layouts will inspire you to head over to the SO store and buy a kit, quickly! I hear they are in short supply!

Heather's February Kit Reveal

I am so excited I got the chance to work with this kit. I loved the colors.
Here are my LOs. Sorry for the bad pictures. It has been raining for days here so there is no sunshine in sight!
With this LO I took a black piece of cardstock and lightly taped a piece of KI Lace paper onto it and used the Shimmerz Spritz Cotton Candy and sprayed over it. I came out with this really cool background. It really makes me want to do this more often. The big flower I cut out from a piece of the pp.

For this LO. I just layered the blue cardstock, black mini scallops and the white swiss dots bazzill, but before I sprayed the white swiss dots paper with some Cotton candy Shimmerz Spritz...again I loved the look of this...made the white not standout as much. Then I cut out the "leaf" looking things from the same paper I cut the big flower from in the above LO!
Just a fun bookmark I made for myself.
My sisters birthday is next week so I went ahead and made her a card.

You better go grab yours before they are gone - only 2 left!

Sarah's January Sketch

Brrrr, It's cold outside in Chicago! Great weather for staying indoors and scrapping. And I have tons of pictures from Christmas just sitting on my scrap table waiting for me. Here is a Christmas inspired LO to get you started scrapping those Christmas photos OR any photos you have been putting off for a while.

Here is my take on the sketch:

And here is a layout by the SO very talented scrapbooker and owner of Simply Obsessed Heather. I just love her layout using SO's January Kit- Dream Street Urban Ink that you can still purchase here.

Have a Great week!
