The red, white, & blue papers were perfect for this July 4th layout. I sewed just inside the large circle & inked all the edges. There were so many buttons included in the kit & I knew I had to do something fun with them, so I made a mini-garland - easy & super cute!! And on vintage-style layouts, I love to whip out my sandpaper & rough up the edges of the photos.
My kids love to play hide-n-seek. They finally figured out this summer that we have an abundance of good hiding places in our house & can play for hours at a time. I caught my little boy hiding in his favorite spot - under my sewing machine table! It's right next to our back door & when he thinks he's safe, Noah will lean over my box full of material & take a peek out the window. Too cute!! I had too much fun making this layout :D The die cut shapes are perfect for layering & stitching on. And I am loving the ghost clocks & vintage cards. They add just the perfect punch! I had lots of buttons leftover from the previous layout, so I add some more to this one (& I still have a TON left!!). I cut out some of the flowers & randomly added them to the layout & my journaling card. So fun!! And my favorite part is the quote. Henry David Thoreau has great quotes, so I put one right on top of the photo using Photoshop. Easy peasy!!
The August kit has such a sweet, vintage feel to it so I decided to keep with that theme when making this card. I inked the edges of everything, stitched a little, & added some buttons & lace/trim. I used the postage-shaped die cut for some background paper & its pattern echoes the blue/green patterned paper on top!
Love these Anna! Great job! I used my kit for 4th pics too!
